Unsound person vandalises YSRC MLA\'s residence

Tirupati: Tension mounted in Gudur town of Tirupati district after an unidentified person entered the residence of YSR Congress MLA V. Varaprasad late on Wednesday night and vandalised furniture, apart from tearing down the flexis.

When a woman present at the house started screaming, the person escaped.

Initially, it raised suspicions that it was a political attack. Gudur police rushed to the scene. They analysed CCTV footage to identify the person responsible for the break-in.

Later, the police identified the person as a local who is mentally unsound. They handed him over to his family members.

No case has been registered over the incident.
