Rashtrapati Nilayam open to public

Hyderabad: After a gap of two years, Rashtrapati Nilayam, Bolaram, would be opened to the public from Tuesday to January 15 from 10 am. There will be no entry fee.

A statement said the entry of visitors would be stopped at  4 pm, and those inside the Rashtrapati Nilayam premises should leave by 5 pm. Visitors would be allowed to click pictures.

The Rashtrapati Nilayam premises had been restored for President Droupadi Murmu who was in the city recently for the five-day southern sojourn. Every year after the President's leaves for Delhi after the sojourn, the premses is opened for the general public.

This could not take place for the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic and related restrictions.

Bags, eateries and plastic water bottles are not allowed. A canteen has been set up which people can use and make the most of this opportunity, said officials.
