11-year-old writes to PM on absence of railway crossing, Modi responds
Narendra Modi asked the Railways to intervene, following which the Northern Railways has written a letter to the boy.
Unnao: An 11-year-old boy, Nayan Sinha, from Unnao has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, narrating the difficulties he faces due to absence of a crossing at the railway tracks between his locality and the school.
This prompted Prime Minister Modi to ask the Railways to intervene, following which the Northern Railways has written a letter to the boy.
Nayan said that newly laid railway tracks between his locality and the school meant a longer distance to cover for him and other students every morning.
"Accidents keep happening near the railway track. We face problems while going to school in absence of crossing," he said.
Nayan added that he received a letter from the divisional engineer, Northern Railways, mentioning his application sent to the Prime Minister some two days back.
According to reports, senior divisional commercial manager (Northern Railways) A. K. Sinha has said that Railways cannot construct a railway crossing or over bridge until the state government requests them for one.
