GHMC launches online process to receive building application

Decision on applications will take 30 days.

Hyderabad: GHMC launched an online process to receive building application on June 2. Every permission, or rejection, will be announced within 30 days from the day of submission. During this period, the applicant will receive messages on the status of the application.

The procedure for submission of Building Application Online requires the applicant to go to the GHMC website (www.ghmc.gov.in) and click on “DPMS - Submission of Building Applications Online”.

Select the link of ‘Registration as Architect or Citizen (as the case may be), complete the registration process and after completion of the registration process, the ente-red User-ID and password will be sent via SMS/email that is provided at the time of registration.

Citizen/architects will have to upload documents online and prepare a plan using AutoCad software. List of documents to be uploaded as per the checklist is available in online application. Once all the documents are uploaded, payment of initial fee has to be made online through an Integrated Payment Gateway.

A file number will be generated and an SMS will be sent to the Citizen /Architect. Status of the file is automatically updated on the website and an SMS message will be sent during each stage - that is inspection, shortfall letter/rejection letter, fees intimation letter, permission plan and proceedings.

After the final approval, the building permission order and sanction plan will be sent via email and will also be made available for download.

GHMC commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy said, “The Government of Tela-ngana in order to facilitate ‘Ease of Doing Business’, have proposed the ‘Online Approval System’ in GHMC for issue of Build-ing/Layout permissions.”
