PSC chairman K S Radhakrishnan ready to take up Devaswom postings
The process will in no way affect the religious practices, believers or their religious emotions.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: PSC chairman K S Radhakrishnan on Thursday said the commission was prepared to take up the appointments of Devaswom Boards. He told a regional news channel that special rules had been made and examined in this regard.
Once the commission gets the directive from the government the entire process would begin within no time, he said. The commission has made it clear that the appointments through PSC would not be against Hindu religious practices. While the appointments of priests would still be carried out by Devaswom Boards, the commission will be handling posts of clerks, engineers and other staff.
The process will in no way affect the religious practices, believers or their religious emotions. Since the applicants for these posts are Hindus and believers, the recruitment through PSC should not be a problem. Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran had last week announced the new government’s decision to scrap the Devaswom Recruitment Board constituted by the UDF Government.
