CM Jagan helps in treatment of 2 boys
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, while responding to the plights of two persons on Friday, asked the Guntur district collector to resolve their health-related problems and offer them an immediate financial support of Rs. 1lakh each.
Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the second phase of YSR Yantra Seva Padhakam in Guntur. During the event, families of two persons facing health problems met the CM and sought assistance.
Guntur collector Venugopal Reddy, MLC Lella Appireddy, joint collector Raja Kumari, MLA Maddali Giridhar, assistant collector Shivanarayana Sharma, DRO Chandra Sekhara, deputy collector Venkata Sivarami, GDCC bank chairman Rathamshetty Sitharamanjaneyulu offered a cheque of Rs 1 lakh each as aid to Farooq Ali and Khader Basha who faced serious health problems.
District collector Venugopal said the parents of the 14-year-old Farooq Ali and 15-year-old Khader Basha of Srinivasa Raopet, Guntur city, met the CM.
Farooq Ali is suffering from thalassemia disease and has thyroid and liver problems. The government will provide him a monthly thalassemia pension of RS 10,000 besides treatment. The 15-year-old Khader Basha of Srinivasa Raopet, Guntur, is mentally handicapped since birth. The government will give him a pension of Rs 3,000 per month.
The collector said the eligibility of Khader Basha to get medical pension will be examined and help arranged. “The full medical assistance will be provided at the government's expense,” he said.
