TTD launches Shramadanam at Tirumala’s Balaji Nagar

TIRUPATI: In a bid to keep the hill town’s environs clean and hygiene, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has launched Shramadanam programme at Tirumala on Tuesday. The programme was held under the aegis TTD’s Health Wing and Estates department.
Participating in the Shramadanam activity along the senior officers of TTD in the Balaji Nagar area in Tirumala, TTD EO A.V. Dharma Reddy called up the locals to join hands in this noble activity and observe the programme every fortnight.
He said that Shramadanam is a way of helping the community, and contributing to help and change the environment around us for the better. He urged locals to contribute something for the welfare of their colony and said everyone must take responsibility for keeping their houses and surroundings clean and neat.
The TTD EO further took part in the Shramadanam programme and he even did not mind cleaning the garbage and drove a tractor to lift out the scrap to the dumping yard. Nearly 200 members comprising TTD officials, locals, security personnel and sanitary staff participated in the event with enthusiasm and cleared debris and scrap materials in the colonies. SE II Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Health Officer Dr Sridevi, Estates Wing Special Officer Mallikarjuna, VGO Bali Reddy and others were also present.
