Kerala's first wheel-chair friendly mosque

The mosque at Parappanangadi will have pathways and toilet facilities to make disabled to offer Nawaz without difficulty

KOZHIKODE:  P.K. Abdu Rabb MLA and Kerala Nadavathul Mujahideen state president C.P. Ummer Sullami will inaugurate Kerala’s first wheel-chair friendly mosque in a function to be held at Parappanangadi, Malappuram on Sunday, a press release said. The initiative under Parappanangadi Charitable Trust has ensured toilet facilities and convenient pathways for the physically challenged to perform Namaz comfortably.  Each place of worship should have such  facilities to assist the physically challenged, the MLA said.

The mosque and other facilities are coming up at the Parappanangadi ECCC campus. The mosque has also facilities like free ambulance services and freezer for funeral rites.  Abdul Wahab MP will be the chief guest in the inaugural session of the mosque.  Indian Islahi Movement Gen Secretary Dr. Hussain Madavoor will present key note address. ECCC president E.O Abdul Hameed, Soft Academy Director Harris Kavungal, Gen Secretary PO Anwar, Soft Convener EO Faisal, Soft media Convener MT Mansoor Ali took part in the press conference.
