Hyderabad: A woman from the city working as a Khadama (housemaid) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) was rescued by the Indian Embassy after being alerted by her family members and local MBT leader Mr Amjedullah Khan.  The girl, Tanveer Fatima of Moin Bagh in Edi Bazar, was in Faisaliya Central Jail, Dammam,  for nine months before returning to India.

Facing severe torture at her sponsor’s hands, she  ran away  and sought shelter with the Saudi police. But later she was jailed on a false case of stealing gold and money from her sponsor’s house.  The victim has two kids and elderly parents and  is the only support  to her family.  “After prolonged efforts, Tanveer Fatima was set free and sent back to India,” said Mr Amjadullah Khan, spokesperson of MBT.
