Kurnool: District collector G. Srijana instructed EROs and AEROs to conduct inspections at every polling station and conduct special voter registration campaigns scheduled for November 4, 5, and December 2, 3. She also directed the EROs to arrange information dissemination at prominent places for public awareness.

During a meeting with political party representatives at the collectorate on Thursday, the collector emphasised that the draft voter list was published on October 27 and urged parties to review and report any errors or discrepancies in the list to the relevant AERO, ERO, BLOs or District Election Officer before December 9.

Srijana stressed the importance of ensuring that all eligible people have the right to vote and the need for separate forms to delete the votes of deceased or those who have permanently relocated. The district election officer informed them that after incorporating all necessary amendments, the final voter list will be published on January 5 to ensure accuracy.

In accordance with the Central Election Commission's instructions, 16 engineers from Bharat Electronics Limited have been conducting the first-level checking since October 16 and political parties were advised to participate in this programme. After the completion of the first level checking, sample polling will be conducted, and parties were encouraged to take part in the activity as well, she explained.
