NHRC member visits Government home for children

Hyderabad: National Human Rights Commission member Vijaya Bharati Sayani visited the Government Special Home for Children and Observation for Girls at Nimboliadda and also the Home for Boys at Saidabad in the city on Wednesday.

She interacted with the children and enquired about the amenities being provided to them at the homes which are under the care of Child Welfare Committees, Telangana state.

These homes house children who are runaways, orphaned, semi-orphaned, neglected, missing, and those involved in child marriage and Pocso cases.

She later inspected the homes, interacted with the staff and superintendents, and took their opinions. Adding this to her observations, she will submit a detailed report to the NHRC.
