Mission Kollam to chalk out corporation's bright future
The corporation plans to develop 22 areas including e-governance, education and tourism.
Kollam: Kollam corporation, through its 'Mission Kollam' is seeking public opinion on plans needed for the integral development of the city for the next 25 years. The corporation plans to develop 22 areas including e-governance, education and tourism. A master plan and a detailed project report will follow the consolidation of public opinion. "Four topics will be given to the public to register their opinion in two days' time. This will be followed by another four topics to eventually cover the entire 22 topics. In the first phase, a development blueprint will be prepared for the first four years of governance," said Kollam Mayor V. Rajendrababu.
The projects will be incorporated with the State Government's Nava Kerala Mission by forming a coordination committee. The corporation plans to improve areas including agriculture, animal husbandry, waste disposal, housing, beautification of the city, drinking water, fisheries, arts and sports, youth welfare, environment, industries, local economic development, cooperation, milk development, social justice, electricity, women-child development, health, and tribal development.
