Nandavaram in India's best police stations shortlist

KURNOOL: Nandavaram police station within Kurnool district is in the run for being included in the list of best-performing police stations at the national level for the year 2023.

It is customary for the union ministry of home affairs to compile an initial list of police stations from across the country based on various performance indicators, such as crime statistics and overall operational efficiency. The performance indices are as set by the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) of the home ministry. From within the initial list, the ministry will finalise the 10 best-performing police stations across the country.

In 2022, Gospadu in Kurnool district, Hanumanthunipadu in Prakasam and Talamanchipatnam in YSR district had been honoured with the award for being the best-performing police stations.

Nandavaram station house officer has been officially informed by the ministry about the forthcoming verification process that the ministry will be conducting. Following such assessment of all police stations on the initial list, a final decision on the best 10 police stations will be made by the ministry.
