Bhavanisagar MLA's fiancee missing week before wedding
It is suspected that bride unhappy over age difference.
Erode: The sudden ‘disappearance’ of the would-be bride of the 42-year-old Mr. Easwaran, AIADMK MLA, representing Bhavanisagar constituency , a week before their wedding fixed for September 12, has caused consternation among both the bride and the bridegroom’s families.Bride Sandhya is 23 years-old.
The incident has also caused a flutter among party circles in Erode district as the Chief Minister, Mr. Edappadi K Palaniswami was to preside over their marriage.
Easwaran, whose family hails from Bhujanganoor village near Sathyamangalam in the district, has been AIADMK students wing secretary of Bhavanisagar union and was also the Panayampalli panchayat president for five years since 2011, and later Bhavanisagar MLA since 2016, has been a well known AIADMK functionary here.
He had also printed colourful invitations for the wedding with list of participants that include other state ministers like K A Sengottaiyan and party bigwigs too.
As per the invitation, Easwaran is to get married to MCA graduate, Sandhya, whose family lives in Periyar Nagar near Sathyamangalam. Even as hectic preparations for the wedding are going on, three days back, Sandhya who left home had not returned, forcing her parents to lodge a complaint with the Kadathur police station.
Police are interrogating her former college mate from Tirupur, one Vignesh. It is suspected that Sandhya might have walked out, being unhappy over the vast age difference between her and the groom. Further investigations are on.
