Kurnool: Nandyal district collector Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon has served show cause notices to 54 staff members who were absent from their duties last week, citing neglect of their responsibilities.

He said the government had implemented a policy requiring sachivalayam staff members to register their biometric attendance three times a day. This includes before 10:30 AM, between 2:30 PM and 3 PM for receiving Spandana applications, and after 5 PM to ensure that services are provided effectively, he added.

He said, “However, it has come to light that some sachivalayam staff have been neglecting their duties and failing to adhere to this attendance policy, and the district collector has acted against the erring staff members.
