Hyderabad: A unique mobile planetarium has been introduced for schoolchildren in the city by AA Infotainments for educational and entertainment purposes in a creative way of live experience of a range of concepts from the space to the history of evolution.

The first show was launched at Johnson Grammar School in Nacharam on Wednesday which received tremendous response from the students. Around 500 students from Class 1 to Class 10 participated in the show where they had a live experience of the solar system, constellations, black hole and other concepts of space.

The mobile planetarium has a 360-degree view with a 3-D effect, which gives a real life experience to the students, invoking their curiosity and interest in the subjects.

Students expressed excitement over their experience of the shows, which was around a 30-minute presentation covering around 50 topics.

Maitreyee, a Class 4 student speaking to Deccan Chronicle said, “I learned about the Big Bang Theory which explained how the universe was formed from a single point. I also saw some planets in the solar system revolving around the sun. I had great fun with my classmates today.”

The topics shown in the presentation were related to the curriculum of the students in different grades, which became more appealing for them.

Another Class 4 student Ayush shared his experience of learning from the show, “I got to know about the mass of the black hole in the Big Bang Theory which was really exciting for me. I also got to learn the evolution of humans from the monkeys. I also saw the formation of the moon. I really enjoyed the show and the 3D effects were really good.

Class 5 student D. Sakshi said that the planetarium concept was excellent and she could see and learn about the concepts in their course and how the formation of the sun was an exciting learning for her.

K.V. Ajay Kumar, founder of Infotainments and organiser of the show told Deccan Chronicle, “We started this initiative before the Covid happened and had to take it down during that phase. Now we are back with the shows and this is the first school where we have organised the presentation. We have designed the show for schoolchildren of all grades to make it interesting for them. We are in the process of reaching out to other major private schools and later extend it to the government schools in Hyderabad.”

School chairman B. Suresh and other teachers were present at the show along with the students.
