 Kurnool: The Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR is celebrating World Space Week with a variety of events, exhibitions, and competitions across eight venues, including mobile space exhibitions and competitions in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha.

As part of these festivities, SHAR will conduct a series of activities in Kurnool from October 6 to 8 at Pulla Reddy Engineering College. The programme includes space-themed quizzes, space walks, essay writing, poster design, painting and drawing, project model creation and display, cultural performances, elocution contests, and prize distribution ceremonies.

SHAR director Dr A. Rajarajan informed in a statement that the application of space technology for societal needs has ushered in remarkable changes in human lives on Earth. World Space Week, celebrated by 70 countries worldwide from October 4 to 10 each year, aims to inspire the international community to explore the limitless possibilities of space technology for the betterment of humanity.
