Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Sets Deadline for Completion of Riverside Park

Announcing this on Tuesday, VMC commissioner Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar said people of Vijayawada can enjoy the flavour of foods from various corners of India, including Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and Kerala, all in a pleasant ambience along the River Krishna. (Twitter)

Vijayawada: Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) commissioner Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar has set a deadline of October-end for completion of park near the retaining wall of Krishna River bank in Vijayawada city.

The park, being established at a cost of Rs 12.98 crore, is a collaborative effort between VMC and Urban Greenery department.

Swapnil Dinkar explained that the futuristic park is 1.25 kilometres in length and 27 meters in width. It has a wide range of amenities, such as a walkway, cycle track, green areas with seating arrangements, railing along the retaining wall, ample parking space and secure fencing.

The VMC commissioner said the park will turn out to be a beautiful recreational area and eco-friendly place for citizens of Vijayawada.
