New Collectorates will be ready by October 2018: Tummala Nageshwar Rao

HYDERABAD: Roads and buildings minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao said that the construction of integrated collectorate complexes with helipads in the 26 district headquarters will be completed by October. Replying to members in the Assembly  during Question Hour, he said the government had sanctioned Rs 843 crore for construction of these complexes in the budget of 2016-17.

Mr Rao said the foundation stones for 18 complexes were laid on October 11 and 12 and the work on these have already commenced. The sites for the remaining eight complexes would be finalised by the third week of this month, he said and added that each complex would house over 40 departments. “The district administration will come under one roof with new complexes. It would be easier for people to avail various government services from a single location.” he said.
