2.59 Lakh People Avail of OP Services in Krishna: Collector

VIJAYAWADA: Krishna district collector P. Raja Babu has informed that as many as 2.59 lakh people have availed of outpatient (OP) services in the Jagananna Arogya Suraksha camps so far in the Krishna district.

He further informed that around 391 Jagananna Arogya Suraksha camps had been carried out across the district as of November 2. The collector explained about the progress of ongoing schemes and works in the district, such as organising Jagananna Arogya Suraksha camps, education, Nadu-Nedu, Jaganannaku Chebudam, sustainable development goals etc. The collector said that so far, 2,59,375 people had registered OP in Arogya Suraksha camps.

He said that as many as 11,199 were found to have high blood pressure and 7,293 had diabetes during the tests. He said that all these patients were provided medicines free of cost at the camps. He said that they had referred another 3,010 patients to the Aarogyasri network hospital for better treatment.

The collector also informed that about 38,167 patients were tested for eye tests. As part of controlling anaemia, 52,333 girls were tested with haemoglobin tests, he added. They were trying to complete the gross enrollment ratio by 100 per cent in the district, he concluded.
