Hyderabad: A Kerala resident, Jaggu Swamy alias Jaggu Kottilil, approached the Telangana High Court to quash all proceedings against him in connection with poachgate. He said the SIT had issued him notice under Section 41A of the CrPC, and, later, a lookout notice.

In his petition, he said that a SIT team had visited Kochi to search for him, and visited his workplace, Amrita Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre. As he was not available, the police dug into his affairs, and sought the whereabouts of his brother Vimal Vijayan and senior officials of the institute, besides asking for CCTV footage.

He contended that the police action was unwarranted as there was no evidence of his involvement or participation in the alleged attempt to lure the TRS MLAs to a farmhouse in Moinabad.
