BJP Celebrates Win in 3 States, Claims People Are with Modi

As counting progressed, as per the ECI, the BJP was leading in 137 of 230 seats, Congress on 57 seats while Gondvana Gantantra Party with two seats and Bahujan Samaj Party on one, at 10:28 am. Bharatiya Janata Party received 48.51 per cent votes while Congress 40.6 per cent votes. X.com

Vijayawada: AP BJP chief Daggubati Purandeswari has said the people are with the BJP government and they support Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The assembly results on Sunday reflected the same, she said.

The BJP rank and files celebrated the win of BJP in three states and the part’s increases in seats in Telangana, at the party office here.

The BJP victory celebrations aired ‘Bharat Mathaki Jai’ slogans amid burst of firecrackers and distribution of sweets. state BJP chief Purandeswari, senior leader Sadineni Yamini  Sarma and others participated in the celebrations.

Purandeswari said the people of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh voted for development. “During the elections, many political parties offered money and other gifts for the voters; however, people voted for the BJP,” she said.

Purandeswari said BJP won 42 per cent of the votes in Rajasthan, 49 per cent in Madhya Pradesh and 46 per cent in Chhattisgarh. BJP candidate, Venkata Ramana Reddy, defeated both chief minister KCR and Congress CM candidate Revanth Reddy, she said.

Purandeswari said the people of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have voted against corruption while the BJP vote share has increased in Telangana state.

BJP state general secretary B Sivannarayana, Kisan Morcha state president Chigurupati Kumara Swamy, Minority Morcha state president Sk Baji and others were present.
