As a lorry driving ahead of the MLC’s car suffered a tyre puncture and slowed down, his speeding car crashed into the back of the lorry before swerving onto the road divider on the Kolkata-Chennai national highway. The MLC and his driver suffered grievous injuries in the collision and were pulled out from the badly damaged car by those in the vicinity.
