Thiruvananthapuram: The district administration has received over 60,000 applications for Chief Minister's Janasanthwana funds till Tuesday. “Their applications will now be sent to respective village offices for verification. Only then would they be given financial assistance,” an official said. According to the finance department order ‘Janasanthwana’ is a project that will have public participation. The money will be used for the welfare of the marginalised as well as for developing infrastructure like schools, hospitals and anganwadis.
