G20 delegates enjoy cycle ride in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: G20 delegates, who are in the city for a health conference, took part in a cycle ride at the Palapitta cycling park on Monday to mark World Environment Day.

The ride, facilitated by the Hyderabad Bicycling Club and TS Forest Development Corporation, saw the participation of Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, minister of state for health, and Lav Agarwal, additional secretary (health).

The ministers appreciated the effort to make the city carbon-free by promoting cycling.

Dr Chandrashekar Reddy, vice-chairman and managing director of TSFDC, explained to delegates the state initiatives in turning Telangana into a ‘green carpet’.

HBC vice-chair D.V. Manohar emphasised the importance of cycling in reducing pollution.
