BJP leader attempts suicide after being upset over removal of Bandi from post

KARIMNAGAR/ KHAMMAM: Gajjala Srinivas, BJP Khammam town vice-president, reportedly attempted suicide following the ‘removal’ of Bandi Sanjay as party state president on Tuesday. His family members shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Srinivas reportedly wrote a letter to Sanjay, expressing his disappointment over the development.

Reports said a person from China Bonala village of Sircilla mandal had attempted suicide for the reason. The reports were found to be fake.

When contacted, the person said he was disappointed that the party had dropped Sanjay but asked, “Why should I attempt suicide.” He said he had campaigned for Sanjay in Karimnagar and had participated in the padayatra.

He blamed a Karimnagar leader for making the fake news of his suicide attempt go viral.
