Rs 1,60,000 Lakhs Spent in Aarogya Laxmi Scheme, More Than 1 Crore Beneficiaries

HYDERABAD: The state government has spent more than Rs 1,600 crore on the Aarogya Laxmi scheme, a nutritional programme to support pregnant and lactating women that was launched in 2015.
Stating this during question hour, minister Satyavathi Rathod said the scheme had benefited 1.93 crore people. The beneficiaries included 20,67,055 pregnant women, 19,26,388 lactating mothers, 97,44,438 children aged between 7 months and 3 years, 54,59,211 children between 3-6 years of age, and 1,70,852 severely underweight children.
