Vijayawada Kodad Suryapet Hyderabad Railway Line Sought

Vijayawada: Railway Board member Prithviraj Naik has sought construction of Vijayawada-Kodad-Suryapet-Hyderabad railway line of the South Central Railway (SCR).

Attending the 75th board meeting held under the chairmanship of SCR general manager Arun Kumar Jain on Thursday, he said this railway line will be very helpful and advantageous for people of the two Telugu states – Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He requested the authorities to take up the matter immediately with Indian Railways.

Prithviraj Naik also asked authorities to run a regular train from Vijayawada and Secunderabad to Thiruvannamalai. He said due to deplored that Ayyappa devotees are facing considerable problems, particularly during the Sabarimala deeksha time.

The SCR GM informed Naik that he will take up the issue with higher authorities of the railways.
