The DRI team stopped the Howrah Super-Fast Express 02873 train at Vizag station and seized 3.98 kg of gold.

Visakhapatnam: Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials on Thursday seized around 4 kg of gold worth Rs 1.91 crore from a passenger, who was smuggling the yellow metal on a train at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

After receiving the information, the DRI team stopped the Howrah Super-Fast Express 02873 train at Vizag station and seized 3.98 kg of gold from the passenger traveling from Kolkata.

The DRI team found that the gold had been smuggled from Bangladesh. A case was filed.
