No power in Adilabad today

The TS Northern Discom and Transco are extending the Chhattisgarh-Maheshwaram 765 KVA line due to which the power shutdown is being taken.

Citizens said the government should come out with a solution to the problem of power supply breaking down every time there is a gale.

Hyderabad: Over 2.10 lakh users in Adilabad district and Jainoor and Sirpur mandals of Komaram Bheem Asifabad district will go without power supply from 6 am to 6 pm on Monday.

The TS Northern Discom and Transco are extending the Chhattisgarh-Maheshwaram 765 KVA line due to which the power shutdown is being taken.

“The line has to cross over the existing 132/33 KV line and a power shutdown is being taken. We intend to complete the work before 6 pm,” said northern discom director (operations) Narsing Rao.

The line is being extended from Wardha to Maheshwaram to bring 2,000 MW power from Chhattisgarh to Telangana state.
