Air India cabin crew member found dead in Karipur

The body of the woman was found hanging in a room of her K B Tower' flat early on Sunday morning, according to police.

Mallapuram: A woman cabin crew member of Air India Express (AIE) was found dead in her flat at Karippur near Calicut International Airport at Karippur, here, on Sunday.

The victim has been identified as Monisha Mohan, 24, daughter of Jalajakumari, traffic police personnel, residing at  Kunnumpuram, Peroorkada, Thiruvananthapuram.  The body of the woman was found hanging in a room of her ‘K B Tower’ flat early on Sunday morning, according to police.

The incident came to light when the mother of the victim who failed to contact her over phone, alerted a close friend who was a colleague of the victim. The colleague went to the flat but there was no response. Later, the youth approached the Karippur police who broke open the apartment.

Monisha, who returned from the airport after duty on Saturday evening, was expected to report to duty on Sunday evening. For about a year, Monisha, who was not married, was living in the apartment where the Air India Express crew used to live.

Police also recovered a suicide note stating that the reason for her death were financial issues. A case has been registered and a probe is on. The body of the woman was handed over to relatives after conducting a post-mortem.
