Karnataka: Five from AP killed, 13 injured in road accident in Yadgir

Yadgir: Five people including two children were killed and 13 others injured in a road accident near Balichakra village in the Yadgir district on Tuesday morning.

According to sources, a cruiser vehicle carrying 18 people from Velugodu in Nandyal district, Andhra Pradesh rammed into a truck parked on the roadside. The passengers were on their way to attend the Uroos at Khwaja Banda Nawaz Dargah in Kalaburagi. The incident took place on NH 150 around 4 am on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Muneer, Nayamt Ulla (40), Muddasir (12), Rameeja (50), and Summi (12).

Among those injured are Aayisha (4), Anas (6 months), Suhana (8), Rameeja (32), Masi Ulla (14), Seema (12), Riyaz Unbee (35), Mujju (12), Naseema (36), Mashum Basha (40), Mujakeer (20), Haneefa (30), and Sohel (15). The injured have been immediately shifted to hospital.

Senior police officials reached the spot and a case has been registered with Saidapur Police Station.
