Niloufer Hospital to get breast milk bank

Hyderabad: Youth for Seva and Sushena Health Foundation conducted a breastfeeding awareness campaign on Saturday. Doctors at the campaign stressed on the importance of breast milk during the early days to help prevent health complications for newborns.

Doctors said many mothers were facing problems in producing breast milk and were turning to processed milk powder, which would affect the baby’s health. To cater to such families, a first of a kind mother’s milk bank wold be started at Niloufer Hospital. Doctors said the milk would be stored in safe conditions.
