Hyderabad: Man, kid on bike die, hit by school bus
According to Meerpet police, the accident took place at around 8.30 am at Badangpet.
Hyderabad: A 25-year-old man and his eight-year-old nephew were killed when a school bus hit their two-wheeler at Meerpet on Monday. The boy’s five-year-old sister survived with injuries.
According to Meerpet police, the accident took place at around 8.30 am at Badangpet. The victims were identified as Panuganti Shreyas, 8, and his maternal uncle Gorla Balakrishna, 25. Panuganti Nookshita survived. The children were students of Dilsukhnagar Public School. A bus belonged to Lords High School.
Meerpet sub-inspector P Anantha Ramulu said: “The bus hit the bike and Balakrishna fell under the rear wheels bus and was run over it. Shreyas fell on the road and suffered bleeding from the nose. Both died on the spot.”
Meerpet inspector N. Yadaiah said police was checking if Balakrishna had a driving licence. He was not wearing a helmet.
