CM to dedicate two irrigation projects to farmers in Nellore district today
Nellore: Stage is set for Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit to Nellore district on Tuesday to dedicate two barrages built on River Penna at Sangam and Nellore.
The CM will reach Sangam town by helicopter from Kadapa at 10.40 am and interact with public representatives. He will inaugurate the Mekapati Goutham Reddy Sangam Barrage at 11.30 am and address a public meeting between 11.40 am and 1.10 pm.
He will proceed to Nellore by helicopter at 1.20 pm and reach the helipad at Kovur at 1.30 pm. He will inaugurate Nellore Barrage between 1.50 pm and 2.20 pm and return to Tirupati by helicopter at 2.25 pm.
In view of the CM's visit, traffic will be diverted from Nellore Palem near Atmakur to Buchireddypalem. Vehicles bound for Nellore from Kadapa will be diverted through Nellore Palem, Vinjamuru and Kavali from 7 am to 3 pm on Tuesday. Vehicle movement will not be allowed from Nellore Palem to Nellore, according to a press release.
