Government land costing Rs 2 crore encroached in Kadapa
Encroachers got fake documents of the place at Kamarajupalle and got it registered in their name
KADAPA: Government land worth around Rs 2 crore has been occupied near Ramaraju Palle in Kadapa city limits. The space was earmarked for residential purposes when big industries are established in Kopparti.
The encroachers created fake documents related to this place and registered it in their name. They also showed the registration documents and sold the land as house sites to some gullible persons, 76 cents in survey No. 145-1 and 32 cents in survey number 146, all government lands near Ramarajupalle.
It is alleged that some local leaders had planned to encroach the government land and sell part of it as residential area to those keen on buying. The present market rate is Rs 5-7 lakh per cent. The total value of the encroached land is nearly Rs.2 crore. Finally, the matter went to the revenue authorities.
Kadapa Tahsildar Bareddy Sivarami Reddy speaking to Deccan Chronicle said that he has received information about the land grab from some locals. He said as per the revenue records, 76 cents of land in 145-1 and 32 cents of land in 146 survey number of Ramarajupalle belong to the government.
“We have already informed the Sub-Collector to cancel private registrations in the above land. We will clear the encroachments and set up signboards.” he said.
