Khammam: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday said the government was receiving applications from the people under the Praja Palana programme as part of the preparation for the Budget to implement the Six Guarantee schemes in the state.

He criticised that the BRS leaders were spreading canards about the Congress guarantees which, he said, would definitely be realised to the chagrin of the malicious opposition party.

Bhatti was participating in the Praja Palana programme at Banigandlapadu village in Errupalem mandal in Madhira of Khammam district. He enquired at the application counters about the programme and interacted with the applicants of the schemes.

He said that the previous government made Rs.7 lakh crore debts and added that Rs.1.10 crore debts were only in the power sector in the last ten years.
However, the Congress government would implement all the guarantee schemes they had promised without any glitches by overcoming the prevailing financial malaise caused by the BRS dispensation, he noted.

Bhatti alleged that the BRS government withdrew the funds meant for the last three months just before the Assembly elections and slammed it for its failure to give salaries on time. He said it is the Congress government paying salaries on time.

He said that his government was studying alternative power production to meet the future demands of the state and recalled that it was the Congress government which established power plants before 2014, which contributed to the production in the last ten years.

He said they have already asked the revenue officials to identify the lands to set up the international schools in each mandal with free meals and transportation to students.

Bhatti reviewed the Mission Bhagiratha project works at Mamunuru and instructed the officials to complete the works within the given stipulated time and prepare the proposals for the construction of the left and right canal works of the Kattaleru project in Madhira Assembly constituency.

Bhatti instructed the irrigation officials to put the contractor on the blacklist who failed to complete the construction works of the Jalimudi project and neglected the maintenance of the works. Khammam collector V.P Gautham and Police Commissioner Sunil Dath were present at the Praja Palana programme.

The people of Madhira gave a rousing welcome to Bhatti as he came to his constituency for the first time after becoming Deputy Chief Minister and many organizations felicitated him.
