Fisherman Burnt Alive as Boat Catches Fire

Kakinada: A fisherman K. Gangadhar (44) of Bhairava Palem village in Mummidivaram mandal was burnt alive as the boat on which repairs were being carried caught fire at Dariyalatippa village in Yanam.

Police said the boat is owned by K. Gangadhar. He had got to collect his ration while his colleague Gangadhar remained on the boat that was being repaired by mechanics.

However, the boat caught fire when welding of the boat was going on. Gangadhar got burnt alive along with the boat.

Former minister Malladi Krishna Rao expressed his grief and requested the state government to do justice to the family of the deceased.
