LFHS 1974 SSC Batch Celebrates Bondage, Achievements and Legacy
Hyderabad: At a gathering that bridged five decades of memories, the Little Flower High School (LFHS) celebrated its 50th alumni anniversary, bringing together the 1974 SSC batch on Sunday.
From witnessing Neil Armstrong's historic walk on the moon in 1969 to India's triumph in the 1971 war against Pakistan, the alumni reminisced about their shared past as well as India’s first nuclear test at Pokhran in the year they passed out.
The highlight of the evening was the felicitation of three surviving teachers —Sunanda Pandy, Mary Josephine, and Narsimhulu, while the memory of other teachers lingered, in the presence of LFHS Principal, Bro. Shajan Anthony.
The reunion showcased the diverse achievements of the 1974 batch.
Air Marshal Sardar Harpal Singh (retd), a Kargil war veteran and Param Vishisht Seva Medal awardee, was inducted into the school's hall of fame.
From the batch, Dakshinamurthy served 35 years in the Indian Navy and Sriram in the Army, Unnava Hanumantha Rao was dean, Graduate School Management, University of California, and Raghunath Reddy played a pivotal role in establishing Continental Hospitals in the financial district.
