Telangana CM celebrates one month in office, says Congress broke shackles' on people
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday expressed his happiness on completing one month in office, saying that the Congress government has “broken the shackles on the people” and was fulfilling their aspirations by “distributing freedom.”
In a related development, the Chief Minister decided to go for a reorganisation of districts, by reducing them from the 33 at present, for administrative convenience, but faced opposition from BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao.
In a post on the social media platform X, Revanth Reddy said that in the month-long journey, the Congress brought governance closer to the people by acting, not as rulers, but as public servants. He thanked the people for their support.
“Listening to the voice of the poor, paving the way for the future of the youth, looking at the happiness on the faces of our girls, giving assurance to the farmer, the month-long walk is taking steps towards a bright future. This month-long administration has been committed to investments, giving a big boost to industrial growth, carving engravings for the development of cities with firm perseverance for the spirit of Telangana (sic),” the Chief Minister said.
