KTR helps migrant labour's body reach village from Dubai
He also arranged for its transport from the airport to Loddithanda village
SIRCILLA: A migrant labourer from Telangana had died of heart attack in Dubai on January 31. With the initiative taken by IT minister K. T. Rama Rao, his body could reach his native village in Rajanna Sircilla district for the last rites.
Maothu Harilal of Maddimalla Loddithanda of Veernapally mandal went to Dubai a few years back. On January 31, he complained of severe pain in his chest and died of heart attack even before being taken to the hospital.
When Harilal's friends in Dubai started facing problems in sending the body to his native place, local ruling party leaders took the issue to the notice of KTR. The minister responded immediately by speaking to officials of the Indian Embassy in Dubai and making arrangements for bringing the body to his village in Veernapally mandal.
When Harilal’s dead body reached Shamshabad airport on Saturday, Rama Rao also arranged for its transport from the airport to Loddithanda village. The body reached his native village during the late hours of Saturday.
Family members of Harilal have thanked the IT Minister for taking the initiative in getting back the body to his native place from Dubai.
