Kishan Reddy donates Rs 1 lakh to family of dog victim
Hyderabad: Union minister G. Kishan Reddy on Monday met the family members of four-year-old Muthyam Pradeep, who was mauled to death by a pack of street dogs on February 21, at their residence in Amberpet. He extended financial aid of Rs 1 lakh from his salary and assured support for the education to Pradeep's sister Meghana.
Terming the incident as unfortunate, the minister blamed the apathy of the GHMC for the death. He said that as a measure to eradicate the stray dog menace in the city, he had made certain recommendations to the civic body and asked them to enhance the compensation amount to the boy's family as Rs10 lakh was insufficient.
He asked civic body officials to catch all stray dogs, put them in one place and feed them.
