15 students of tribal welfare school tested positive to Corona in Mahabubabad
WARANGAL: Fifteen students of the Tribal Welfare Residential School tested positive for the coronavirus in the Mahabubabad district on Thursday.
When some students complained of illness, the administration assumed it was a seasonal disease and gave them medicine. When other students started complaining of body pain and fever and began to cough, tests were conducted on all students.
Results revealed that 15 students had contracted Covid-19. They were shifted to the government hospital where an isolation ward was created for them.
The school informed their parents who went to the hospital but were not allowed to meet the children as they were kept in isolation.
Tribal welfare minister Satyavathi Rathode called health officials and inquired about the condition of the students. She directed them to provide good treatment and diet.
