Delhi liquor scam: YSRC MP's son gets bail
Hyderabad:The Delhi High Court on Wednesday granted interim bail to Magunta Raghava Reddy, the son of Ongole YSRC MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, in the Delhi liquor scam case. Raghava Reddy's counsel filed a petition before the vacation bench of the High Court stating that his grandmother is currently hospitalised and he needs to take care of her. His counsel sought six weeks interim bail.
ED’s counsel objected to the bail plea citing that the case is under investigation and pleaded with the court to dismiss the petition. However, the court granted the bail on condition he deposits bonds.
Raghava Reddy was arrested by the ED on February 10, 2023, after his involvement in the liquor scam was established during the investigation. ED officials alleged that he had transferred substantial amounts of money under different names which were then invested in the liquor scam.
Earlier, Aurobindo Pharma director P. Sarat Chandra Reddy had turned approver in the case.
