Nizamabad: One Tanvir, 38, of Renjal Base in Bodhan was arrested by Counter Intelligence sleuths two months ago on suspicion that he was involved in terrorist activities. The arrest came to light on Tuesday in connection with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducting searches in the house of two Lashkar-e-Tayyaba (LeT) suspects in Hyderabad.

According to police sources, Tanvir went Saudi Arabia in search of livelihood a long time ago. He shared a room with a Pakistani national, who is believed to be an ISI agent.

Tanvir and the Pakistan national were arrested by the Saudi Arabia police and released after one and a half years in prison. Tanvir allegedly disappeared from Saudi Arabia and reached Bodhan, his native town.

Following an alert from the Saudi Arabia police, the Intelligence Bureau and Counter Intelligence sleuths picked him up, sources said. Tanvir is one of three siblings.
