Kerala: Management quota deadline pushed by 3 days

The order issued by the committee headed by Justice J.M. James contains a time schedule for admission process.

Thiruvananthapuram: The admission supervisory committee has issued a fresh order extending the last date of submitting applications for the management quota MBBS seats in self-financing medical colleges from September 6 to 10. This follows complaints that the colleges had not given adequate time for submitting the applications. The order issued by the committee headed by Justice J.M. James contains a time schedule for admission process. There were  complaints alleging that the websites of the medical colleges were not available for registering the online applications.

Some other sites were erratic. The registering link of some colleges appeared on the website but was not active. In some cases, when the link was opened the result page was blank. The monitoring of a medical college website showed that it had  removed its online website link even before 5 p.m. on  September 6. One medical college could not notify the prospectus till 10.27 p.m. on September 4.

The new schedule is as follows. Last date for submission of online applications--September 9 Publication of individual application details on the website of medical college---September 10 The date of forwarding  the list of eligible candidates to the ASC--–September 13 The last date of receipt of printout of online applications with DD--September 13 Date of counselling/admissions of first round of applicants--September 20 The last date for second round of counselling /admissions-September 27 The last date up to which students can be admitted against vacant seats arising due to any reason-September 30
