Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Swamiji offers 'Arghya' at Udupi Sri Krishna Matha.

Udupi: The vibrant Sri Krishna Jayanti celebration reached its zenith at Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt with the traditional 'Sri Krishna Leelotsava' on Thursday.

Led by Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Swamiji from Krishnapura Mutt, the current Paryaya Peetadhipati, hundreds of devotees offered the sacred 'Arghya' to Sri Krishna at midnight on Wednesday.

Special Pooja was offered on Thursday as part of 'Sri Krishna Leelotsava.'

As the sun began its descent, the special Rathotsava and 'Mosaru Kudike' (Vittlapindi) was held along the bustling Car Street of Udupi.

The clay idol of Sri Krishna brought in a procession from the Matha to the Golden Chariot, adorned upon a golden palanquin.

Following the Mangalarathi ceremony on the Golden Chariot, the procession unfolded in adherence to time-honored traditions.

In Ratha Beedi, the 'Mosarukudike' ceremony took place. Laddus and Chakkuli were distributed as prasadam to the devotees by the seers. 'Avabrutha Snana,' a sanctified Holy Bath was held after the Rathotsavam.
