Trolls in social media rubbished: Alphons Kannanthanam
Mr Kannanthanam also wondered how Malayalis who face low price for spices and rubber can afford today's medical education fee.
Kochi: Union Minister of State for Tourism and BJP leader Alphons Kannanthanam on Friday rubbished the trolls by Keralites in the social media over his remarks for ensuring more toilets in the country. “The middle-class Malayali won’t understand the dire necessity of a woman in the rural villages in other parts of the country having a toilet. Sixty seven percent of the population lacks it. I have seen such areas in Delhi itself. Ever since the arrival of smart phones, Malayalis revel in trolls. I am happy that at least I can make them happy,” Mr Kannanthanam said in jest.
Mr Kannanthanam also wondered how Malayalis who face low price for spices and rubber can afford today’s medical education fee. “You need almost Rs 75 lakh to study for MBBS in private medical colleges. In my understanding those with black money can afford it,” he said.
