VACB to submit docs for quick verification against Minister J Mercykutty Amma

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Inquiry Commissioner and Special Court (Vigilance) here on Friday directed the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) to submit all documents pertaining to the quick verification against Fisheries and Cashew Minister Mercy Kuttiyamma. A quick verification by the Vigilance had given a clean chit to the minister. The petitioner had challenged this in the court. Considering this, the court sought the details of the quick verification.

The case was posted to  November 8. The alleged irregularities  pertained to the purchase of cashew kernal for Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation (KSCDC) and Kerala State Cashew Workers Apex Industrial Cooperative Society (CAPEX), purchase of various equipment at CAPEX and appointment of KSCDC managing director T. F. Xavier.
