TTD to hold Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavam in Hyderabad from Oct. 11
Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced that Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams would be held in a grand manner at the NTR Stadium in Hyderabad from October 11 to 15.
The religious event is intended to showcase all the rituals and ceremonies that are being performed at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala.
TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy told the media in Tirumala on Wednesday that the event replicates all the Nitya Kainkaryams that are performed every day at the temple, to the devotees who are not otherwise fortunate to witness them on a daily basis.
According to the temple officials, a replica of the Tirumala temple would be set up at the NTR stadium on Indira Park Road, where all the daily rituals starting from Suprabatha Seva (early morning) to Ekantha Seva (at night) would be performed.
The TTD would also set up annaprasadam distribution and laddu sales counters and primary health centres, besides organising devotional and music programmes.
The TTD chairman also said a series of spiritual events have been lined up from this month, which include Srinivasa Kalyanams and Karthika Deepotsavam etc.
After the completion of Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams in Hyderabad, the TTD would organise Srinivasa Kalyanams in Europe from October 15 to November 13.
“We also have plans to organise Srinivasa Kalyanams in agency areas like Rampachodavaram, Araku and Anakapalle etc. We may also organise Karthika Deepotsavam in Yaganti and Vizag in the month of Karthika and Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams in Ongole in December this year and in New Delhi in January next,” he said and added that the Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Chennai and the Srivari Temple in Jammu are also getting ready for the Maha Samprokshanam next year.
